when the id and the ego touch, there is an epiphany so strong that it makes one's knees buckle and brings the body crumpling to the floor in shock. there is a surge of emotion that accompanies this epiphany; there is pleasure and there is realization, coinciding so equally that there is no room for anything else than that moment alone.

dunno where that came from, honestly. i think i just saw something with "id" in its composition and that automatically made my mind shift into wtfpsychfreud mode... which makes no sense at all.

Rofl. Freud's theories make me rofl, but to an extent - he is correct.

Freud's theories are a little off the wall sometimes -- the psychosexual theory of development, specifically -- but the whole thing with the id and the ego and the superego are pretty cool; pleasure versus reality versus your conscience. I thought that was a neat thing when I learned about it in psych.
